Bathroom installation and what's included
Design and layout planning
We visit your home, measure the space, discuss what you want (suite type, layout, finishes, fixtures), assess plumbing and electrical routing, and advise on what is feasible. For small spaces or awkward layouts, we may suggest a wet room, corner bath or compact layout to maximize usability. We produce a design sketch with you and agree materials and fixtures before work starts.
Plumbing installation
We install new or relocated water supply pipework (copper, plastic or pushfit depending on your preference), waste and overflow pipes, and floor drain if needed. For a wet room, we install tanking (waterproofing layer) on the floor and lower walls to manage water run-off. All pipework is tested for leaks and pressure before the bathroom is finished. We coordinate hot water supply from your boiler and ensure adequate flow and pressure to showers.
Electrics and ventilation (Part P and Part L)
All electrical work is carried out by a qualified electrician certified to Part P (Building Regulations for bathrooms). We install appropriate lighting, socket outlets (positioned away from splash zones), heated towel rails if requested, and extractor fans with timer and humidity control to manage condensation. Ventilation is critical in older Worcester homes prone to damp. We size and position extractor fans to drawing and test them on completion.
Tiling and wall finishes
Tiling is often the most visible aspect. We tile walls (typically in wet areas, splash zones, or full bathroom for style), fit tile trim, seal grout joints, and ensure waterproofing is complete. Floor tiling is bedded and grouted for slip resistance and durability. For exposed plaster (non-tiled walls), we skim plaster and finish to a high standard ready for paint.
Suite installation and finishes
Bath, shower enclosure, basin and WC are installed and connected to the prepared plumbing and drainage. We fit mirrors, shelving, towel rails and other fixtures. We paint walls (non-tiled areas), fit skirting and architrave, and ensure all finishes are clean and damage-free. The final bathroom should feel complete and ready to use immediately.

Damp and ventilation in period homes
Older Worcester properties, especially terraces and flats without dedicated extract ventilation, are prone to bathroom condensation and damp. We assess these early and advise on what is possible without extensive re-routing or structural work. Sometimes a modest shift in layout is the most cost-effective solution.
Listed building and conservation area consent
If your property is listed or in a conservation area, external changes (windows, ventilation pipes on the outside) may need consent. Interior bathrooms usually do not, but we check and advise. Any changes to historic tile patterns, original sanitary ware or fixtures may need approval. We manage this process with Worcester City Council where needed.

Do you supply the bathroom suite or just fit it?+
We do both. We can supply a full suite (bath, shower, basin, WC, tiling and finishes) and fit it all,or we can fit a suite you have chosen yourself. We advise on quality, durability and value. Most clients prefer supply-and-fit for convenience and design coordination, and we offer a warranty on all installations.
