Overview
Most flooring failures are preparation failures: an uneven, damp or dusty subfloor that no quality of flooring can fix. We level, prime and prepare the base properly first, which is the difference between a floor that stays flat and one that lifts, creaks, gaps or cracks within a year.
We lay flooring and tiling as a standalone job and as part of a wider renovation, kitchen or bathroom fit. Because the same team handles the surrounding trades, the flooring meets the skirting, the kitchen units and the door thresholds cleanly, instead of being squeezed in at the end by someone who was not there for the rest of the job.

Planning, regulations and the practical side
The questions worth answering before the work starts. We handle the paperwork and the approvals as part of the job.
Subfloor preparation
Timber and concrete subfloors each need different preparation, and a damp or uneven base has to be corrected first. We check and prepare the subfloor before any flooring goes down.
Underfloor heating
Some floor finishes suit underfloor heating better than others. If you have or want UFH, we match the flooring and the build-up to it so it heats evenly and the floor stays stable.
Movement and expansion
Wood, laminate and large-format tiles all move with temperature and humidity. We leave the right expansion gaps and use the correct adhesives and matting, which is what stops floors from lifting or cracking later.

Every project is different, so we do not publish one-size figures that rarely hold true. Instead we give you a free, fixed-price quotation after a site visit, so you know the full cost before any work begins. These are the main things that move the price:

Flooring: common questions
Do you supply the flooring or just fit it?+
Either. We can supply and lay your flooring, or fit a product you have already bought. We will advise on what suits the room and the subfloor.
Why does my old floor need so much preparation?+
Because most flooring problems start underneath. An uneven, dusty or damp subfloor will telegraph through any new floor, so levelling and priming first is what makes the finish last.
Can you tile bathrooms and kitchens too?+
Yes. Floor and wall tiling is part of this service and ties in directly with our kitchen and bathroom work when it is part of a larger project.
How much does new flooring cost?+
It depends on the floor area, the material you choose and how much preparation the subfloor needs. We measure up and give you a clear, fixed-price quotation before any work starts.
